Seldom Traveled

The road is long and seldom traveled
The way is rough but it’s right
The nights are long as the road leads on
But that’s the road less traveled by

We advocate power
We submit to greed
We lobby for position
And fight for our needs
We scrape and we scratch
We toil and we turn
To build our kingdoms
To one day watch burn

The road is long and seldom traveled
The way is rough but it’s right
The nights are long as the road leads on
But that’s the road less traveled by

Glory will fade
Splendor will dim
Position will fail
And power grows thin
The way of the foolish
Will soon rule the wise
The sight of the beggar
Will open blinded eyes

The road is long and seldom traveled
The way is rough but it’s right
The nights are long as the road leads on
But that’s the road less traveled by

A generation is rising to call forth the weak
To sing of a fire that is ever consuming
The roar of revival is shaking through the land
The song of the saints led by nail scarred hands
It’ll rise to the heavens, it’ll plunge to the deep
The song will not cease ‘till blind eyes can see
Our song to a Savior we’ll shout and we’ll sing
‘Till the last tongue confesses He is the King of Kings
‘Till the last knee bows to the King of Kings

The road is long and seldom traveled
The way is rough but it’s right
The nights are long as the road leads on
But that’s the road less traveled by
That’s the road less traveled by

Stranger

I’ve been doubting myself
Listening to the words of someone else
I’ve been acting alone
Betrayed the One I’ve loved for so long

I’ve been going alone
Down ways of treachery, scorpions and stones
I’ve been forsaken and torn
Betrayed the One I love for fool’s gold

But He still comes
Like a stranger in the night
He comes
To make the wrong right
He comes
Like a stranger on His own
He comes
To make the darkness light

I’ve been walking down
These streets of harlotry with every fool around
I’ve been acting out
Thirty pieces and a kiss are all I found

But He still comes
Like a stranger in the night
He comes
To make the wrong right
He comes
Like a stranger on His own
He comes
To make the darkness light

As if His blood wasn’t enough
He still comes with His love
As if His life wasn’t enough
He still comes
As if the cross wasn’t right
As if He labored in strife
As if His name wasn’t light
He comes

I know all of these things
Why do I cause him suffering
I’ve pushed His grace enough
And broke the heart of the One I love

But He still comes
Like a stranger in the night
He comes
To make the wrong right
He comes
Like a stranger on His own
He comes
To make the darkness light

On My Hands

Don’t be afraid
Don’t look away
I am all you need
Don’t look there
I’m right here
And you are here with Me

You are on My hands
Your ways are ever before Me
I am yours and
Nothing can keep you from Me

Don’t be afraid
Don’t look away
You are here with Me
Surely I will help
Surely I will save
I am all you need

You are on My hands
Your ways are ever before Me
I am yours and
Nothing can keep you from Me

You will seek but find no more
Those who quarrel those who war
In My rest you will find strength
I’ll lift you up on eagles wings
I’ll lift you up on eagles wings

Cause you are on My hands
Your ways are ever before Me
I am yours and
Nothing can keep you from Me

You are on My hands
The scars are ever before Me
I am yours and
Nothing can keep you from Me

Tend to the Reckoning

Shadows fall in the heat of the night
Onto streets of a district lit with red lights
The cry of their hearts are silenced by
An order wrought from the lord of the flies
The hearts of these imprisoned bleed with shame
As guards beat relentless those with no names
Scars are too deep on the frames of the defamed to mend
And they’re sold again

Profits are made and pockets are lined
With fool’s gold of lustful desires
Big businessmen to the lowest of liars
Take part in this sin as suppliers and buyers
Who will tend to the reckoning?
Who will repay the victims of this sin?
Like animals herded out of a stall
Thralls of a master are they human at all

Forced to this labor, forced to this way
Coerced and used by men for pay
Laid on beds of shame and decay
As their dignity rots and identity fades
Love was stolen and replaced with hate
With freedom taken and innocence raped
Who can stay in a game with stakes this high
And survive the death rate

Who will tend to the reckoning?
Who will repay the victims of this sin?
Like animals herded out of a stall
Thralls of a master are they human at all

Who will tend to the reckoning?
Who will repay the victims of this sin?
Like animals herded out of a stall
Thralls of a master are they human at all

The throes of darkness are upon this age
Too dark for the heart and we exit the stage
But the enslaved still remain in chains and
Their captors go unashamed and unnamed
And the story remains untold
Some are five, six years old
Bodies being bought and sold
Paid in corporate gold for injustice untold

Who will tend to the reckoning?
Who will repay the victims of this sin?
Like animals herded out of a stall
Thralls of a master are they human at all

Who will tend to the reckoning?
Who will repay the victims of this sin?
Like animals herded out of a stall
Thralls of a master are they human at all

Drip down oh heaven above
Let the clouds pour down your love
Drip down oh heaven above
Let the clouds pour pour

Drip down oh heaven above
Let the clouds pour down your love
Drip down oh heaven above
Let the clouds pour
Let the clouds pour pour

And let the chains fall from the maimed
Let the healing come like a resurrection train
To derail the frail and the framed
From the details of the sick and insane
Of these atrocities, don’t let it stop with these
Set fire to the pyre of this depravity
Bind the broken and tend to the scars
That were too deep to mend bend prison bars
Let the captives fly from this cage of pain
Escape unscathed from these birds of prey

Drip down oh heaven above
Let the clouds pour down your love
Drip down oh heaven above
Let the clouds pour
Let the clouds pour

These Depths

I can feel it moving fast as light
Through shaded alleyways of shameful delight
I can see it coming without delay or fail
Straight from the darkness of the deepest hell
And it falls and it tugs
And it rips the sanctified
From the walk of love
It will ruin, it will scorn
It’ll pull down the proud
And bury the torn

What am I to do? How am I to live?
When the Tempter comes
With this darkness of his
How do I escape?
How am I set free?
When I’m falling for the darkness that I see?
When I’m falling for the darkness in me

The beautiful blood it flows
Like a flood to my soul
Strength and power they are mine
To overcome in the name of Christ
I’ll overcome by the blood of Christ

Born a bond slave bound by death
With fiery grave at final breath
From Holy state He heard my cry
To penetrate these depths of mine
He saved my soul when I received Him
At my believing He pardoned my sin
With hope before me and death behind
I hear His deep, it cries out to mine
I feel His deep, it cries out to mine

And this beautiful One, He shines
Like the sun in my eyes
Strength and power they are mine
To overcome in the name of Christ
I’ll overcome by the blood of Christ

In deep, I faced a lake of fire
Depraved and steep, laced with fakes and liars
Nowhere to run and seldom place to hide
At setting sun, I reached a raging tide
My cry for help came into His ears
He liberated me of years of fear
On a cherub He flew
Appeared on the wings of the wind
In that moment I knew
I’d never be the same again

This depth of love, I can’t pretend
This depth of peace, to comprehend
In Him alone I place my life
My soul is met, with that of Jesus Christ
My heart is kept in Jesus Christ

Rise Sun

Rise Sun of Righteousness come shining in like day
Pierce through with rays of glory in the mourning of my grave
The darkness overtook me and positioned me a slave
The cords of death pursued me and brought me to this grave

Bound with ropes of revelry determined I exchanged
The freedom that You gave to me for the darkness which enslaves
Shake the shackles from these weary hands and weathered feet
Deliver me from wicked ones who taunt and beckon me

Rise Sun of Righteousness I need you now this day
The ribbons of my victories are frayed and thrown away
Set your sight on my condition and your hand forth to my aide
Rise Sun of Righteousness come shining in like day

Take me as I am and deliver what’s in store
From promises You made to me in my dark corridors
The calling that You gave to me in my hours of distress
Rise and come deliver morning Sun of Righteousness

You are my only hope and you are my refuge here
You hold me in Your hands now take captive all my fears
Through constant states of struggle and weeping unrestrained
Rise Sun of Righteousness come shining in like day
Rise Sun of Righteousness come shining in like day

Wake me up from these afflictions and break this yoke of strain
Come restore me my convictions from that bright and glorious day
When you made me as Your own and gave the oath you swore
Rise Sun of Righteousness I need You evermore
Rise Sun of Righteousness come shining in like day

Few Will Recognize

You will ride the wind with ease
Over riverbanks and trees
Will little care for these
Time tested enemies
They are my footstool
My child, My sunshine
My labor of love and of time
Valued among the High
Greatly esteemed, why?
Because I love you more than these, child
Now take the land and the seas, wild
I’ve equipped you to fly

I’ve imparted My power
To You but to this hour
You give room to the enemy
And his cunning, stealth and lies
You sold your joy for fear
The fear of man the fear of death
It’s an illusion, a tactic worn by time
When it’s unveiled you’ll see the lies
The darkness will hide and tremble in sight
Of the ultimate light and the intimate rights
That are given to you, a stone I’ve hewn
To a gem that few will recognize

I made your eyes to look into Mine
I made your hands to reach to Mine
I made your feet to run to Me
I made your heart with something missing
The need for Me, the need for a greater love
Than this world can offer son

To the Hills

Lies disguised as compromise
Justified by blinded eyes
Tolerated, it won’t subside
Expose the lies with renewed minds

To the hills I lift my eyes
I can see it coming
I can see the light
Do we live to be transformed
Complacency, it causes our conform
But I can see the light

Darkness hides behind the lies
Giving what are seen as signs
Of truth and love, the way to life
Imitations of the light

To the hills I lift my eyes
I can see it coming
I can see the light
Do we live to be transformed
Complacency, it causes our conform
But I can see the light
We pray for healing rain
But drink from wells that are stale and stained
But I can see the light
Quench the Spirit to entertain
Holding back what cannot be restrained
But I can see the light
I can see the light

Revival fires fall
Holy Spirit call
Us into the light
Out of the compromise
If we would taste and see
Then we would drink it clean
And leave the dark to die
And leave the wells to dry

To the hills I lift my eyes
I can see it coming
I can see the light

In His Wings

A man with a message cries
His daughter has already died
He has the faith to see her live
On the way an issue of
A woman with a flow of blood
She has the faith to be free

Well I’ve seen the darker side
And I know it’s there
And I’ve seen the hollowed eyes
Of those in despair
But I know the beauty that’s beyond compare
I’ve seen
Healing in His wings

A man with a message cries
His daughter has come to life
He had the faith to see her live
The woman with a flow of blood
She touched the garment and she was healed
Her faith made her free

Well I’ve seen the darker side
And I know it’s there
And I’ve seen the hollow eyes
Of those in despair
But I know the beauty that’s beyond compare
I’ve seen
Healing in His wings

Cry daughters cry
Sing sons sing
He will come
With healing in His wings

Cry daughters cry
Sing sons sing
He will come
With healing in His wings
With healing in His wings
With healing in His wings

Streaks of Blonde

Streaks of blonde through rays of sun
My light, the love of my life
Through days of dark and nights of love
My light, the love of my life
Like rays of morning light through glass
That follow floors of wood and pass
Through fields of green and springtime grass
My light, the love of my life

Bright, white wedding flame
Preceded dark and heavy days
They came unaware, untamed where they
Precarious winds blew the flame
Deep dark waves tossed and came
And heaped flood waters of fear and pain
Attempting to dash, trying to stain
The bright, white flame

Through the torrent, to and fro
A deeper love I came to know
A love that held me while bitter waves
Pushed and pulled me to a grave
That would encompass me alone
And swallow life that I had known

Streaks of blonde through rays of sun
My light, the love of my life
Through days of dark and nights of love
My light, the love of my life
Like rays of morning light through glass
That follow floors of wood and pass
Through fields of green and springtime grass
My light, the love of my life

A steady companion through this dismay
Held my hand while storm clouds rained
And spoke of strength when strength had waned
And spoke of peace when peace was slain
Like an oak by still waters, a tree planted deep unfaltered
Pointing me to our Father

A patient, kind gentle spirit
Never harsh word or piercing lyric
With strength of faith and proverb power
A tender nurturing ocean flower
Held my hand while firmly planted
Pointing to days of peace

My Jesus brought me through the storm
But used this flower with strength and form
As a tree planted by still waters
Pointing us to our Father

Streaks of blonde through rays of sun
My light, the love of my life
Through days of dark and nights of love
My light, the love of my life
Like rays of morning light through glass
That follow floors of wood and pass
Through fields of green and springtime grass
My light, the love of my life
